Hewan Aman

Hewan Aman is a Paris-based DJ whose selections sculpt delicate, hypnotic terrains across time and genre. Rooted in a Franco-Ethiopian heritage and shaped by a deep sensitivity to sound, she draws from the cultural ecosystems of dub, trance, and rave, but always lets instinct lead. Her selections carry emotional weight — textures that breathe, rhythms that stir, stories that unfold beneath the surface. Her sets are layered invitations: to feel, to move, to drop in. Through tempo shifts and unexpected transitions, she opens a space where perception softens and new logics emerge. Each appearance is a process of weaving — between cultural inheritances and club sensibilities, ancestral echoes and contemporary resonance. A longtime shapeshifter in the Paris underground, Hewan also works across disciplines and collectives, anchoring her presence not only in aesthetics, but also in a posture of care and sonic storytelling. Her path resists trends, privileging presence over performance, and staying close to the body of the dancefloor — porous, alive, and transformative.
