Questions people actually ask
What is SoundOff?
SoundOff is an app for live music fans. It surfaces shows based on your own taste and history, shows who from your circle is already in, and keeps a ranked record of nights you were actually at. It is built for live music, not streaming playlists.
How does SoundOff ranking work?
No star ratings. You compare two shows at a time and pick the better one. Each vote refines your rankings, so over time your all-time list reflects real preferences instead of a pile of five-star scores.
Is SoundOff free?
SoundOff is free to download and use on iOS, Android, and the web at launch.soundoffapp.io.
Is SoundOff an event finder like Bandsintown or Songkick?
No. Bandsintown and Songkick are comprehensive upcoming-listings and ticket-alert tools. SoundOff surfaces shows personalized to you: based on shows you have logged, artists you care about, and who from your crew is already going. That is the point. It is not trying to list every show in your city.
What makes SoundOff different from Spotify or Bandsintown?
Spotify tracks what you stream. Bandsintown tracks what you plan to attend across a wide listings calendar. SoundOff picks upcoming nights from your own taste and attendance history, then ranks and archives the shows you were actually at.
Is SoundOff like Letterboxd for concerts?
Yes. Letterboxd is a diary for films. SoundOff is a journal for live shows: log the night, rank the set, keep the memory, and get picks based on that history, not a generic city calendar.
Where can I download SoundOff?
iOS App Store, Google Play, and the web app at launch.soundoffapp.io. Same account on all three.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Account. Or email hello@soundoffapp.io from the address on the account and we will help.
Do you sell my data?
No. See the privacy policy. Marketing analytics (GA4 / Meta) on this website are separate from in-app product analytics and respect cookie consent.
Is there a waitlist?
The product is live. City waitlists may still apply for some beta cohorts; the marketing newsletter is optional and separate.
How do artists claim a page?
Go to /artists and claim via the portal at launch.soundoffapp.io/portal/claim.
Does SoundOff work without Spotify?
Yes. Search for artists on your profile or add them as you log shows. No streaming account is required.
What cities is SoundOff for?
You can log shows anywhere. Personalized picks are strongest where we have dense upcoming-event coverage (US and growing). That is still not a comprehensive listings service for every city. See /live-music for public city hubs built from catalog density.
Is SoundOff a concert journal?
Yes. SoundOff is a journal for live shows: log the night, rank the set, keep the memory. See /concert-journal for how that works.
How do I contact support?
hello@soundoffapp.io or the /support page.
