**Ivan Poseidon's story doesn't begin behind a DJ booth—it begins on a rock stage in Rosario, Argentina.** Before becoming an active figure in Barcelona's electronic music scene, his first musical chapter unfolded as the lead singer, guitarist and songwriter of a rock band between 2008 and 2012. During those years, he toured Rosario's live music circuit, performing at iconic venues such as Willie Dixon and becoming part of a generation of independent musicians striving to forge their own identity within Argentina's rock scene. As time went on, however, his artistic curiosity demanded a different language. Following the band's dissolution, he embarked on a personal and creative transformation that led him to electronic music. What initially began as an exploration soon evolved into a lifelong vocation. Over the following years, he immersed himself in music production, refined his craft as a DJ, and gradually developed a sound shaped by minimal, deep house and the more sophisticated edges of underground electronic music. In 2017, he made a decision that would redefine his career: relocating to Barcelona. Like many artists drawn to the city's vibrant cultural landscape, he arrived with the intention of building something from the ground up. Rather than focusing solely on performing, he understood that becoming part of a scene meant much more than playing clubs. It required building relationships, learning from others, creating opportunities and contributing to the growth of a wider creative community. Little by little, he established himself within Barcelona's underground electronic circuit. His early performances connected him with promoters, collectives and local artists while opening the door to collaborations with projects dedicated to promoting electronic music. Those first years proved decisive in building a professional network that would continue to expand throughout his career. His evolution was constant. What began as a career focused exclusively on DJing gradually developed into a multidisciplinary professional path. Recognizing the importance of sharing knowledge, Ivan expanded his work into education, teaching DJing and music production for more than seven years. During that time, he accumulated over 500 hours of instruction, mentoring dozens of students as they took their first steps into electronic music. Teaching soon became not just a complementary activity, but an essential part of his professional identity. Bridge 48 would eventually become one of the defining chapters of his career. Beyond his role as an educator, he progressively assumed greater responsibilities within the organization. Between 2022 and 2026, he served as Artistic Director, Artist Booker and Event Manager, contributing to the development of one of Barcelona's most active electronic music ecosystems. His responsibilities extended far beyond artist bookings. He curated musical concepts, shaped the artistic identity of events, negotiated with international agencies, coordinated artist schedules, supervised productions and collaborated with technical, creative and communications teams to deliver complete event experiences. According to the information gathered throughout this research, he was involved in managing more than 200 events annually, coordinating an average of six to eight artists per event—representing more than 3,600 artist bookings between 2023 and 2025. Alongside these responsibilities, he continued to develop his career as a DJ, performing in clubs and festivals across Spain, Argentina, France, Germany and Andorra. He held residencies at Bridge 48, Macarena Club and Pacha Barcelona's Red Room while appearing in cities including Barcelona, Badalona, Palma de Mallorca, Berlin, Paris, Montpellier, Buenos Aires and Rosario. Throughout this period, he shared line-ups, stages and programming with an extensive network of national and international artists, including Priku, Cristi Cons, Manda Moor, Ale De Tuglie, Andrés Campo, Anika Kunst, Sidney Charles, Zeta Bosio, Anja Schneider, Marco Faraone, Davide Squillace and many of the key figures shaping Barcelona's contemporary electronic music scene. These collaborations reflect not only his activity as a performer but also his work as a curator, programmer and artistic director. Audiovisual production has become another defining aspect of his career. Believing that music should also be documented, he actively contributed to the creation and development of projects such as B48 Live, B48 Lab, Flug Invites, Bridge48 Festival and the interview series *Desde Adentro*. Together, these initiatives generated hundreds of interviews, recorded DJ sets and audiovisual productions, helping document and promote both emerging and established artists within the electronic music community. Among these projects, *Desde Adentro* stands out as one of his most personal initiatives. More than a media platform, it was conceived as a space for connecting artists, exchanging experiences and encouraging meaningful conversations within an industry that often only showcases the final performance. Through interviews, documentaries, live sessions and in-depth conversations, the project seeks to tell the stories of the people working behind electronic music from multiple perspectives. Looking back, it becomes clear that describing Ivan Poseidon simply as a DJ would overlook the broader scope of his work. His career has been built through the intersection of artistic creation, education, event production, artistic direction, cultural management and community building.
