Millú

Festival repeat offender, international circuit breaker and club scene rotator, her ear is tightly tuned to astral fringes of the electronic underground. On the dance floor this translates to deeply considered, immersive journeys, whilst never underestimating the importance of a good groove and a big bassline. Outside of the DJ booth, Millu’s sound is honed week after week on her slot on Melbourne’s RRR, delving into celestial ambient, brain-dance IDM, and deep, progressive grooves and weaving clear narratives grounded in community and storytelling. Alongside Pjenne (Penny O’Brien) she also co-heads Companion, a label dedicated to atmospheric sounds for long form listening. With six releases to date platforming emerging artists from all over the globe, her dedication to sharing underground and underrepresented music with the world is evident. This passion for the scene and its ever-evolving shape and sound has rendered her a beloved member of the dance music community, especially in the more left-leaning and queer corners in which she has found a familiar home.
