MNTY

MNTY is a Mexico City-based DJ working across rhythm and narrative. Her sets unfold with a strong sense of flow, shaped by memory, movement, and a dialogue between past references and forward-facing energy. Rather than adhering to genre, she focuses on building tension, release, and continuity on the dancefloor. Her selection moves between house and techno into atmospheric, hypnotic, and experimental electronics, navigating eras and scenes with ease. Drawing from different moments in dance music history, she brings overlooked and peripheral sounds into a contemporary context. Her background in visual and conceptual practices shapes an approach that is both structured and intuitive. Attention to pacing, space, and detail defines her sets, whether in intimate rooms or larger spaces. She holds residencies at FUNK Club, Yuyu, and Discos Movimiento, and runs Re-Set, a platform spanning party series and radio.
