OPÄK

His world is built from intricately woven soundscapes, an instrumental journey coalescing into a formidable hybrid and deeply hypnotic music, subtly flecked with tribal undertones. His has become a compelling presence as a regular at France's most iconic electronic music venues and festivals but also through enduring residencies with collectives like Newtrack and Kluster. He actively seeks to dissolve genre confines, propelled by a deep-seated passion for meticulous sound design. Beginning as a drummer steeped in the raw energy of rock, punk, and post-punk, this percussive foundation initially drew him into the darker realms of EBM and industrial music. This evolution eventually led to the launch of his own label in 2019, a platform for his burgeoning sonic identity. His tracks, since the inaugural vinyl release 'Dorhnii', have quickly become essential tools for selectors on the global underground circuit. Finding their way onto the sound systems of Berghain, Fold London, and Tresor, Opäk's productions have garnered significant support from respected names, a clear indicator of their impact on contemporary dancefloors.
