Hailing from Naarm (Melbourne, Australia), obsessive diggers and like-minded pals Freddy and Alex champion the sounds of the weird, wonky, and wonderful through their party + upcoming label: Proto Exotica. Melting boundaries and settings, the namesake is a nod to genres in their infancy from lands near and far. Just as comfortable playing beachside as within a smoky club, expect nothing less than a happy mingle of sun-soaked Balearic beats, atmospheric grooves, their very own cheeky disco edits, and a bit of 90s house (which they’ll never say no to). With a climbing number of projects as far-reaching as their tastes, they’ve toured and supported household names like Jura Soundsystem, Adriana, Jex Opolis, Otologic, OK EG, MLiR (Modern Life is Rubbish), DJ Possum, Pitaya Soundsystem, River Yarra, Andras, Instant Peterson, and Mary Lake.
