Tapefeed

Their paths first crossed in the underground scene of London, where they collided through a shared drive to explore the edges of sound. Moving between raw techno, tribal rhythms, experimental textures, and distinctive UK bass, Tapefeed has always been about friction and fusion. Evolving beyond the traditional definition of a duo, their project explores the edges of dance music with an anarchic sensitivity. Under the shared identity of Tapefeed, Alessandro channels their vision through dynamic DJ sets, while Rick delves into compositions and synthesized percussions in his Live acts. Each direction carries the same artistic DNA, converging in their Hybrid set, a powerful meeting point where their individual dimensions collide. Initially making waves with their residency at Superstition (Village Underground), Tapefeed have built their presence in the global techno scene, now holding a residency at London's iconic Fabric club. Their releases on established labels like Houndstooth, Mord and Fides reflect their dynamic range and innovative sound. Performing regularly at venues like Tresor and RSO in Berlin, and Basement in New York City, they continue to ground their sound and share their vision across some of the scene’s most vital spaces. Together, in 2021, they launched their own label, Inveterate, that embodies their anarchic vision and sound. The platform serves as a space for artists to defy conventions, encouraging them to explore the edges and limits of their artistic expressions and unpredictable sounds. The project’s future lives in its dualities: unity and independence, structure and spontaneity. Tapefeed is no longer just a name, it’s a landscape. Whether operating together or individually, its energy remains: shifting, uncompromising and charged with intent.
